Mbrizi, Sehe, Burundi from Bonanza Coffee Roasters, Berlin

Very herbal. Very rough. Very interesting. Somehow challenging. Wasn’t allways easy to really brew it on point. If done so: a lot of cherry jam with the herbs, some rose and plum. And a lot of fun.

Mpanga Lavé, Kayanza, Burundi from Coutume, Paris

What a sweet, tender silkyness on my tongue. Simple elegance with subtle yet intriguing fruit notes. Mango, apricot and some smoked ham. Really Yumminess galore.

Gakenke, Burundi from Langøra Kaffebrenneri, Stjørdal

Pineapple sweetness and acidity and a full creamy body are only some aspects of this Burundi. Something in this coffee reminds me of the warmed up leftovers of a delicious pleasently stomach warming goulash stew. Some hints of allspice maybe, some soft beefy texture, roasted bell pepper sweetness.
